Minimal L1-norm reconstruction function for oversampled signals: Applications to time-delay estimation
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider the problem of the reconstruction of an oversampled band-limited signal and obtain an explicit expression for the reconstruction function with minimal -norm. It has good sparseness and localization properties that recommends its use in time-delay estimation but the result may be of interest in other domains. Compared to the standard sine cardinal reconstruction function, its rate of decrease is almost one order of magnitude higher.

Application of Model-Based Estimation to Time-Delay Estimation of Ultrasonic Testing Signals
Time-Delay-Estimation (TDE) has been a topic of interest in many applications in the past few decades. The emphasis of this work is on the application of model-based estimation (MBE) for TDE of ultrasonic signals used in ultrasonic thickness gaging. Ultrasonic thickness gaging is based on precise measurement of the time difference between successive echoes which reflect back from the back wall ...
متن کاملModified L1 Adaptive Control Design for Satellite FMC Systems with Actuators Time Delay
A modified method for satellite attitude control system in presence of novel actuators is proposed in this paper. The attitude control system is composed of three fluidic momentum controller (FMC) actuators that are used to control Euler angles and their dynamics is considered in satellite attitude equations as well. L1 adaptive control is utilized for satellite three-axial ...
متن کاملDYNAMIC SPARSE STATE ESTIMATION USING l1-l1 MINIMIZATION: ADAPTIVE-RATE MEASUREMENT BOUNDS, ALGORITHMS AND APPLICATIONS
We propose a recursive algorithm for estimating time-varying signals from a few linear measurements. The signals are assumed sparse, with unknown support, and are described by a dynamical model. In each iteration, the algorithm solves an l1-l1 minimization problem and estimates the number of measurements that it has to take at the next iteration. These estimates are computed based on recent the...

This paper addresses the estimation of time delay between two spatially separated noisy signals by system identification modeling with the input and output corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise. The proposed method is based on a modified adaptive Butler-Cantoni equalizer that decouples noise variance estimation from channel estimation. The bias in time delay estimates that is induced by in...
متن کاملBayesian Regularization and Nonnegative Deconvolution for Time Delay Estimation
Bayesian Regularization and Nonnegative Deconvolution (BRAND) is proposed for estimating time delays of acoustic signals in reverberant environments. Sparsity of the nonnegative filter coefficients is enforced using an L1-norm regularization. A probabilistic generative model is used to simultaneously estimate the regularization parameters and filter coefficients from the signal data. Iterative ...
